Vopos

18/10/2002 Version 005 GPL has been released. See readme files and Vopos download page.

Description
Is a little program that I would like to use to check the objects defined inside a FW1 firewall.

My main goals are:
- provide the ability to "dump" the hosts to a CSV file or better to a MS-SQL db
- have a gui representation of the firewall configuration, just to have a quick glance about it
- perform some simple checks against an internal DNS, VLAN configurations etc.
- build some automated vulnerability scripts to speed up vuln assessment
- should be portable to Linux platform and GPL ?

At the moment I have some obligatory screeshoots and a simple download available.
It has only display capability and it is barely functioning. I hope to add a CSV dump feature asap.
Anyway It should be able to read a FW1 SP5 configuration, but I cannot give any guarantee.

PLEASE NOTE - standard disclaimer apply - BEWARE - USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK

This program reads objects.c from the filesystem and tries to display it. Use it on a test machine
(unplugged from the network) and provide the file using a floppy.
I will not be responsible anyway,  but even less if you blow your only copy of your production
firewall. Please take a note that it takes no special precaution against the protection of the
data "extracted" (no encryption, memory protection etc) and therefore it should be considered unsafe for confidential informations like your firewall configuration. Use it on a isolated machine.
If you don't understand what I am talking about please stop now.

Let me know if it worked for you, Vopos is under heavy development.
